Cha no Mori – A Forest of Japanese Tea Culture

Welcome to Cha no Mori, which means “Forest of Tea” in Japanese.
It is a place where the rich traditions of Japanese tea, handed down through generations, continue to flourish.

Our story begins in Uji, Kyoto, one of the birthplaces of Japanese green tea — a region renowned for centuries for its exceptional tea craftsmanship.
From organic matcha and refreshing sencha, to fragrant hōjicha and creamy matcha lattes,
every tea from Cha no Mori is carefully crafted with respect for the true spirit of Japanese tea culture.

We work in close partnership with the trusted tea experts at “Kyoto Uji Cha no Ki (京都宇治 茶の樹)”.
In their tea gardens in Ujitawara, Kyoto, tea has been cultivated for generations with deep respect for nature.
Many of their teas are organically grown, and through the expertise of certified tea appraisers, each leaf is carefully selected and refined to deliver the highest quality and authentic taste.

Among the Kyoto Uji Cha no Ki product range, the tea bag series — created under the concept of “simple yet delicious” — has become one of the most beloved collections, featuring long-time favorites like Matcha Genmaicha as well as new varieties such as Mint Green Tea.
