Under the guidance of our advisor, a 6th-grade certified Japanese tea appraiser , this tea has been carefully crafted to highlight the distinctive qualities of Uji tea—its clear, bright liquor and the exquisite balance of umami and astringency in the leaves.
At Cha no Ki , we cultivate our teas in a dedicated contract tea garden located in Ujitawara, the birthplace of Japanese green tea. Since 1990, we have practiced organic farming, nurturing the soil with organic fertilizers and natural grass mulch for over 30 years. Our mission is to create tea leaves that are gentle on the body and can be enjoyed with complete peace of mind.
