Wakocha Tea Bag (5pcs.)
Premium Japanese Black Tea (3g ×5 ) – Grown in Ujitawara, the Birthplace of Japanese Green Tea
Many people are surprised to learn that green tea, black tea, and oolong tea all come from the very same tea leaves. The difference lies only in the production method. While specific cultivars are optimized for each style, Wakōcha (Japanese Black Tea) is unique in that it is deliberately crafted from Japanese tea leaves. In recent years, Wakōcha has been gaining international recognition, with exports increasing steadily.
This tea is made from premium leaves grown in Ujitawara, Kyoto—the renowned home of Gyokuro. Even when processed into black tea, the leaves retain their natural umami, offering a rich yet smooth flavor. A subtle aftertaste reminiscent of Japanese green tea makes this black tea truly distinctive.
Brewing Instructions:
-
Hot Brew: Steep one tea bag in 180ml of hot water (about 90°C / 194°F) for 60 seconds. Each tea bag contains enough leaves for two cups.
-
Cold Brew: First, pour a small amount of hot water to cover the tea bag and steep for 1–2 minutes. Then add 500ml of cold water and let steep for at least 1 hour for a refreshing cold black tea.
Convenient tea bags make it easy to enjoy authentic Japanese tea anytime. We hope this Wakōcha brings a moment of comfort and relaxation to your daily life.
